The IAAP First Coast Chapter was awarded with three awards at the 56th Florida Division Annual Meeting held June 27th-29th , 2008 in Ocala, Florida:
Chapter Excellence in Attendance
Awarded for members who attended Leadership Educational Conferences, Florida Divison Annual Meetings, and Officer Forums. Our chapter sent many representatives to each of these. Also we had at a minimum of 50% membership attendance at a minimum of 8 Chapter Meetings.
Chapter Excellence in Publicity and Communication
Newsletters: Awarded for monthly newsletters of at least four (4) pages containg chapter name, location of meetings, offices, volume and issue numbers; distribution to Division Board each month. Thanks to Kathy Lynch for her hard work and dedication for this!
Website: Maintain an up-to-date website with meeting date, time, and location and contact information. Thanks to Jan Maclean for her hard work and creativity for this!!
Chapter Brochure: Creation of Chapter brochure and distributed at events, to area businesses and potential chapter members.
Administrative Professionals Day: Planned and marketed April event for area administrative professionals in observance of Administrative Professionals Day, which was marketed to those outside of the chapter. Thanks to everyone for this!
Chapter Excellence in Designing the Future
President built and provided Division with a strategic plan; implemented a mentoring program and a donation to the Retirement Trust Fund. Presented to Citibank/Citigroup a non-IAAP group our IAAP informational Packet on the benefits of membership.
